Streetwear and Urban Clothing Stores
With a growing streetwear community, it is only fair that I create a guide on what shops to buy from. Included are some of the hottest streetwear stores around, taking everything into consideration from trends, prices, and locations to brands, styles, and more.
Urban clothing stores have been around for a very long time. We are no longer limited to the mall for shopping, and this presents to us a huge advantage over the market. With a growing online presence, these stores (which often carry more than just hiphop wear) can help us obtain optimal savings. By offering your top streetwear for minimal price, urban clothing stores are able to beat any physical store competition.
ASOS.com is a worldwide ecommerce fashion and beauty retailer. They currently offer more than 50,000 brands and product lines. More specifically, they specialize in women-wear, menswear, footwear, and more. Their website currently targets markets in a variety of locations in Europe, Australia, and North America. Their main distribution center is in the United Kingdom.
Strategically speaking, they focus on providing fashion to teenagers and young adults. Their website currently attracts over 13 million unique visitors a month, symbolizing a very strong internet presence. Their customer base sits through-out over 160 countries and more than 3.5 million active users!
Originally, they launched in the UK. After seeing a huge success, they decided to focus on the American market. Asos has its very own distinct brand, and their prices range underneath $100. Best of all, they offer free shipping to all of the 50 states, as well as free returns.
Commonwealth is definitely a must-go-to streetwear store if you live in the Washington DC area. They are very popular in the United States East-Coast and one can find a variety of limited edition clothing styles. The shop itself has a keen eye for great products. They also have a strong testament to their diversity.
Some of the streetwear brands offered at the store include; Clarks, Comme Des Garcons, and Caminando. Their unique boutique specializes in creating and fulfilling the demand for new and established street fashion and urban sportswear brands. These brands typically influence and inspire for greatness. These brands are showcased in a matter that taps into the creative independent spirit of counter-culture.
With this said, Commonwealth has helped build a community of individuals with diverse interests. They also strive to educate and expose their patrons and friends to recognize artists, designers, and photographers. One of the methods for this exposure is through exhibitions and special in-store events.
Some of the original works showcased are from Cody Hudson, Atiba Jefferson, Eric Coleman, and Andy Howell. Not only that, but the Commonwealth also works closely with musicians such as; the Clipse, Kenna, DJ A-Trak, and many others.
3. Wish ATL
Wish ATL is a shop located in the Little Five Points and it rests in the center of one of the city’s most vibrant and edgy districts. They are most known for their highly-sought-after, limited edition footwear brands. Other merchandise include hand-picked fashion pieces from international designers.
Initially, Wish Atlanta began as a hipster outpost. Over the years, they transitioned, through a dramatic redesign, into a sophisticated purveyor of some of the world’s top cutting edge labels.

Some of their deals include brands such as; En Noir, Jeremy Scott, Nike QS, Android Homme, Supra, Vans Vault, and Black Scale. The force behind Wish, hopes to deliver a very unique experience through; creative design, limited supplies, anticipated ware, and an ever-evolving product line collection. These are offered alongside housing fashion attire from breakthrough designers from around the world.
The streetwear store sits in a destination that attracts visitors with multifarious lifestyles. Its retail space was transformed by two of New York’s leading designers, Raphael Berkowitz and Sam O’Donahue. The physical grid-like structure currently reflects the breakthrough labels exhibited at the store through an exciting mixture of art, fashion, and sensory provocation.
4. Moose Limited
MLTD, also known as Moose Limited, is home to some of the world’s most popular men’s streetwear attire. Their brands include; Stussy, The Hundreds, 10 Deep, Diamond Supply, and more. They have a very massive collection of casual clothing in their streetwear store.
Skateboard and hip-hop fashion culture is boldly represented at their store. They currently offer a very convenient online service which in return helps their clients save money and shop with ease.
Memes roster include brands such as Y-3, Penfield, Maiden Noir, Jeremy Scott, and more. Although their site might not be very well known within urban clothing fanatics, it does offer a very hip atmosphere, including a nice selection of Reeboks, Pumas, and Adidas—sure to impress.
The boutique’s underground designers come from a variety of locations such as; America, Europe, and Japan. With a growing presence, their spot in New York is not hard to miss. Make sure to be on the lookout for their exclusive drops.
Bodega is a very dope spot to stop for sneakers in the Northeastern United States. It is an iconic sneakerhead destination and includes access to high-end brands such as Bedwin & The Heartbreakers, Grabstore, The Quiet Life, Penfield, Original Fake, Acronym and more.
The very secretive physical location is sure to be missed by everyone! The streetwear store is within a quiet residential block in Boston and located behind an unassuming storefront. In fact, to enter you must press the back of a tile, on the floor, and watch the Snapple machine slide away to reveal the entrance. Although it is near-impossible to locate, they do offer quite an impressive sight within.
Over the years they have grown from a small bodega, to a small iconic store. They even have customers who fly in from different cities just to shop at the store! However, their online store is definitely a spot to see. With a very distinct selection, one can see why.
Make sure to stop by this favorite streetwear shop online on a daily basis; failure to do so will include in missed releases and exclusive products.

Hip-Hop Wear: What Makes a Store Standout
With a growing community of online streetwear and urban clothing stores, one can quickly realize the true potential of competition. Not only is diversity key to stand out, but also being able to present unique products at low prices. Not all urban clothing stores are equal, in fact, many stores offer attire not offered anywhere else. It does not always have to be about hip-hop wear either.
The online stores presented in this article represent only a fraction of the competition. However, I do believe they are some of the best online streetwear stores out, at the moment, offering the very latest, trendiest, and cost-efficient hip-hop wear around!
