20 DIY Makeup Storage Ideas
I am a fashionista trained in fashion buying and fashion design.
Whoever said diamonds were a gal's best friend clearly forgot about makeup! With more products than ever on the market, it's hard not to have an avalanche of cosmetics in your arsenal of war paint. If your vanity corner looks more disaster than delight, check out these awesome ideas for de-cluttering your supplies.
1) Repurpose Old Candle Jars
Save candle jars to store different types of cosmetics so you can find and retrieve them easily.
2) Beauty Station
Store up to 30 makeup products in this handy beauty organizer, which also includes a docking station for your iPad. (Unfortunately, the iPad is not included.)
3) Mason Jar Storage
Mason jars can be easily tacked onto a painted wooden board with pipe clamps. This bathroom storage solution keeps everything within reach and keeps things looking classy.
4) Hair Care Valet

6) Glass Jars
Glass jars are a very practical and pretty way to store items such as brushes and eye shadows.
7) Restyled Containers
Cover old containers with scrapbook paper for a budget-friendly storage solution for cosmetics.
8) Desk Organizer Turned Makeup Organizer
Use a stationery organizer to keep everything neat and tidy on your vanity unit.
9) Glass Vase with Beads
Fill a jar with crystal pebbles and pot your brushes. Go even further by labeling each jar.
10) Magnet Board
Get an old picture frame and attach it to your magnetic board. Customize it using wallpaper, and make sure to apply magnets to each product.
11) Spice Rack for Nail Varnish
Paint a spice rack from the charity or dollar store to showcase fingernail polish.
11) Repurpose Discarded Christmas Boxes
Use cute packaging from gift boxes such as bath sets to make pretty compartments for your makeup.
11) Roll-up Makeup Brush Case
This case is perfect for travel and also very practical for everyday storage of your makeup brushes.
12) Magnetized Makeup Brushes
Cleverly attach an adhesive magnetic roll to your brushes.
15) Repurposed Dish Rack
Store eye shadow palettes on upcycled racks for amazing organization.
16) Q-Tip Dispenser
Use a toothpick dispenser as a q-tip dispenser.
17) Tiered Platter
This tiered tray can be made from dollar store trays and candlestick holders, and it can be painted to the color of your desire.
18) DIY Brush Stand
Drill holes in a wooden block such as a log, and you've got a handy DIY stand!
19) Tiered Trolleys
Open up valuable floor space with this three-tier trolley, which has a cosmetics mirror on top.
20) Alex Drawers for Makeup and Brushes
This is, in fact, two units stacked on top of each other. Each unit has six drawers, everything is hidden, and it looks swanky.

You have some interesting storage ideas here. Good when you can store them in a way that they're organized, still easily accessible, and look nice too.
