Blue Eyeshadow Is THE Fall Look. How About Putting It Under Your Eyes?

This look makes blue eyeshadow appear totally different

Some of you might be old — well, wise — enough to remember when women in the 70s were wearing blue eyeshadow. People who were in their teens and early 20s during the 80s and 90s oftentimes thought it looked so tacky and hilarious. But like King Solomon once said, there is nothing new under the sun and trends tend to find their way back to us.

Guess what? Blue eyeshadow is back and it’s — pardon the pun — catching the eyes of many this season. The good news is the look has upgraded itself to where it appears less corny…more sexy.

Something that I personally like about how blue eyeshadows are looking this year is there are so many different hues to choose from. This means that, unlike in times past, it’s a color that complements virtually every skin tone — and that’s always a beautiful thing.

When it comes to this video by @nessachavez_, I wanted to share it because…just look at the creative way that she applied the eyeshadow to her face. By placing the blue hue on her lower lids, the look is modern. Her eyes appear bigger and brighter. Plus, it’s a “softer” make-up approach than using a traditional eyeliner.

Just make sure that you do the following three things in order to get similar results:

· Invest in a professional eyeliner brush. It’s the best way to get the outcome that you’re after.

· Go with an eyeshadow color on your upper lids and brow bone that will not compete with your lower lids (neutral tones are great); you want the blue to truly “pop”.

· Always apply a coat (or two) of mascara on your lower lids. It will help to complete the look.

Do all of this and you’ll be catching compliments left and right. I mean, how could you not?
