Before You Purchase Some New Essential Oils, Watch This Video to Know What to Avoid

They're actually more potent than you think

I’m gonna tell you this right now — my personal physician or homeopath would have to call me into their office and tell me to my face that I would need to give up my essential oils. Ever since I’ve been using them on my hair, skin, bedding and as an alternative to perfume, I have never looked back…and that’s been a couple of decades ago at this point. Not only do a lot of them smell amazing but they come with a myriad of health benefits too.

So, why would I, an essential oils enthusiast, decide to share a video like this one from @wellness.in.thecity? It’s simple. A huge misconception that a lot of people have is that natural remedies like herbs and essential oils aren’t potent and don’t have potential side effects. This couldn’t be further from the truth, so if you’re new to the world of essential oils, insights like these can help to make them a far more pleasant (and safe) experience.

Again, this information isn’t designed to frighten you or keep you from using essential oils. It’s just that it’s always a good idea to not simply stop by a health store, pick something up and apply it. Because essential oils are chemical compounds that are derived from plants and also because they are considered to be alternatives to medicine by many, you simply should do your due diligence by researching the oils that you plan on using. Oh, and if you’re not sure if something, definitely run it by your doctor first (especially if you’re already on some form of prescribed medication).

I can’t say enough that essential oils are one of the best things to happen to me personally. But anything good can become, well, not so good, if you don’t know what you’re doing. Research. THEN USE. That’s all she’s basically saying and I back her on that bottom line point 1000 percent.
