Did You Know That There Are Fake Belly Rings That Look Real?

Beauty without the pain

The day that I decided to get my belly button pierced, it was more like an adult peer pressure type of situation. I was with two other women who were doing it and they kept asking me to join in on the fun. Problem is, my piercer was going through an apprenticeship and I was her first piercing — and yes, it felt just like you would imagine with that being the case. SMDH.

I think my experience was an exception to the rule overall. At the same time, there is a part of me that wishes I had known that things like what you’re about to see existed at the time. It would’ve helped me to “ease into things” a lot easier.

Listen, I’m all for considering just about anything that isn’t permanent because sometimes, we have urges to try things out, but the feelings don’t last very long. So, if you’ve been thinking about getting a belly piercing but you’re not quite ready to take the plunge, sites like Amazon and Etsy have all sorts of belly rings to choose from that are pretty to look at and inexpensive too.

Plus, you won’t have to cough up fifty bucks (give or take a few coins) and then wait 6-12 months for an actual piercing to heal. Yeah, that fake ring just keeps sounding better and better, doesn’t it? Thanks for the tip @pinksyglam.
